My cup runneth over...

Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow Ethan all the days of his life!

We just received word that the Mayo Clinic sent back their results and it is officially confirmed that Ethan has JMML! I know it seems strange to be excited about that, but to officially know what our little boy has is such a relief and such an answer to prayer today!

At 7:00 this morning the doctor said that they hadn't heard from the Mayo Clinic on the final results of his diagnosis and they didn't know when they would (potentially as long as another week or two). I then asked you all for prayer that we'd find out the results in the next couple of days.... then, at 11:00 the doctor comes back and said that the Mayo Clinic just called and ruled out all other possibilities! It is 100% confirmed that our baby boy has the JMML strand of Luekemia and they can immediately begin a treatment plan for him until the bone marrow transplant is ready. What a calming feeling to now know for sure. What a joyful feeling to see God answer yet another prayer so quickly!

Thank you! Your prayers for Ethan are doing so much good! What a blessing to have you go through this with us. What a blessing to continue to see that God is actively involved in each step of this process. What a blessing to have such a sweet little boy!

I can understand your excitement in the midst of a weird situation! Praise the Lord that treatment in earnest can now begin!

Annie and I pray for you and for your family constantly. As you know, you are very important to us... and we'll see you at some point over the weekend.

I know it's crazy to be excited about this news! But at least the doctors now have a clear defined direction to focus their efforts in. I am just glad that you aren't going to have to just sit around and wonder any more. So have they given you a plan for the treatment process yet? Can't wait to hear more good news!! Love you guys and I am happy to see you are finding joy in the small things.

So glad you have an answer and that you have a course of treatment. My family is praying for yours even though you do not know us. I can't imagine the ups and downs you face but I know that God will always hold you close and never let you go. Cling to him and give everything to him (good and bad) he's big enough to handle it.

I've been praying specifically for that so I'm so pleased to hear that you've got that answer. We continue to pray nightly for you and now my 3 year old, Logan, prays every night for daddy's friend's baby who is sick. God bless.

What a great answer to prayer! What a comfort to know that even though some of us do not know your family, we are all praying to the Great I AM who knows us all individually. I'm convinced that God has a great plan in mind for ethan and what an honor to know that God picked him. And God also picked you as ethan's parents to go thru it with him. I'm reminded of Mary, Jesus's mother whom God chose to do such a special duty in History. Keep pressing on the Christ. We will continue to pray and look forward to your updates.

Praise the Lord because even this is a victory! This is one of my favorite verses:

"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has planned for those who love him." 1 Corinthians 2:9

God knows what's in store and I admire your bravery and confidence in that you have not lost sight of that. I pray that you hold steadfast through this all. We love you and are praying for you, Adam, and Ethan!

Hi Adam, Kasey and Ethan,

We praise the Lord Jesus Christ for His care for you in the midst of this very difficult trial. The Lord has been, is, and will continue to be in control of every aspect of this battle. Yes, it is a battle. The Lord certainly knows what and why He has allowed you all to be on the front lines right now. It may be a doctor or nurse that needs to see the Lord strong in this battle so that they might be saved or encouraged in their own battle of life. As your verse today says, "it is for God's glory" ultimately. The doctors and nurses will do all they know to do, and I am thankful, as I am sure you are, for their training and compassionate hard work on Ethan's behalf. However, as it says in Proverbs 21:31 "The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD." When getting ready for battle the horse is prepared by doing all within the power of the soldier to protect him. "BUT safety is of the Lord!" Our prayers to the God of creation are in 100%faith and confidence IN HIM to do all that man can not or is not able to do! 2 Samuel 23:10 He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; 2 Samuel 23:12 But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory."
I believe and trust the Lord to win a great victory in this battle. However He chooses to give the victory, may HE receive all the glory and praise.
All of us here at First Bible Baptist Church in Plainville, CT are praying for Ethan and you, his dear parents, his dear grandparents, and all of your family. God's grace will sustain you! Continue to draw nigh to Him and He will continue to draw nigh to you. He will NEVER leave thee, nor forsake thee! What a loving Saviour we have.

We love you!

Sincerely in Christ,
Pastor Tom Benson
1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I get the chills seeing God's work being done. We are so lucky to have our Almighty God taking care of us. I am so happy and feeling positive that they can start a treatment program for Ethan so he can be on the road to recovery. We will continue to pray day and night. Thank you for sharing him with us and taking us along on this journey. I truly feel Ethan came into all our lives for a purpose. He is touching my life everyday and is always on my mind. God has also blessed Ethan with incredible parents. You are an inspiration.
Love and prayers! Megan

Wow, Kasey I just have to tell you that you are on the top of my most admired women list. Your response to this situation is truely encouraging. Your Godly testimony must be glowing to all the doctors and nurses. Although this situation must be the hardest you have ever faced, I can definetly see God's grace reflected in both you and Adam's life and words. Continue to allow God's grace and peace absorb you.

With all that said, I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I pray for you all throughout our day. Whenever I see a baby or your family pops into my head I beg God to heal little Ethan and to continue to give you and Adam strength to get through another day. Ethan has been added to our church email and prayer letter. I have people in my church asking all the time for an update on him. I have posted the blog on the last update I have had sent out through the church. We all rejoice in your answered prayers and encouraging news! Wish we could be there! II Corinthians 12:9-10!!
